Fatshark have announced today the next class in their dark-fantasy title Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, the Hive Scum, releasing December 2, 2025.

The Hive Scum adds the violent inhabitants of hive worlds, leaving destruction and mayhem in their wake, including the cartel fixers who represent the criminal powers that some say truly run Tertium.

The new class come with a signature customisable Stimm, filled with a personalised chemical mix giving them bonuses to be able to survive battle, as well as using the chemicals in Chem Bombs to injury their enemies.

The Hive Scum are also equipped with dual-wielded pistols and twisted shivs, a first for Darktide, as the class is adept at homemade and makeshift weaponry such as crowbars, saws and autopistols to inflict brutal force.

The playstyle of the class as well as their talent tree prioritises hyper-aggressive hybrid of close-combat fighting while specialising in ranged attacks and throwables in a quick flurry to avoid being boxed in.

You will also have access to heavier arsenal to dispose of the larger foes you come across in the game, with Blind Grenades and missile launchers at your disposal.

Besides weapons and skills, the Hive Scum come with brand-new cosmetics with re-imagined tattoos, hairstyles and face paint to show off your grit and the three personalities of the hive worlds through several voice sets.

Players can wishlist the Hive Scum Class today and will be able to purchase it on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on December 2 for the price of $11.99 / €11.99.
