Cult classic Poker Night at the Inventory has been re-released on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, as well on selected gamepads, after being removed from the Steam store back in mid-2019.
The remastered title has seen the original gang of pop culture icons: Max (Sam & Max), Strong Bad (Homestar Runner), Tycho Brahe (Penny Arcade), and the fan favourite, the Heavy from Valve’s Team Fortress 2, returned to play Texas Hold’em once more.

The Inventory has had a renovation, updating the visuals with higher resolutions, including more detailed environments and clean character animations for the guests. Additionally, the players will have more control over the table, including how much the guests talk, the starting bets and cosmetic effects like motion blur and film grain.
Among the renovations, several themes rooms, cards and tables have also been added to pay homage to the starring guests, though The Inventory have said players will have to unlock them first.
The building’s history dates back to pre-prohibition when the original owners learnt about the draft for the 18th Amendment, creating the secret club to protect their patrons right to play outlawed games and amusements.

The club stayed hidden for over a century as the establishment garnered a reputation for it Texas Hold’em tournaments with buy-ins upwards of $200 thousand per game, with reports some patrons can place down precious items as collateral.
Some of the collateral items won from the games have also been found in player’s trophy cases and Team Fortress 2 inventories.
The Inventory revealed the development team for the poker tables have stripped down the code used to regulate the rules of poker to clean out previous bugs, and have rebuilt the systems for new players.

Poker Night at the Inventory is priced under $10USD for lifetime entry, or until the game is removed once again due to licencing rights.
There have been no reports as of yet whether previous guests of The Inventory including Max’s colleague, Sam will return in the future.
